Another mini album

I used the Boys will be Boys kit for this album. I have a few more pages I need to finish but here are the first few...

My $6 two minute candles

I found some fabric quarters at hobby lobby for $5.99 and used my 40% off coupon. And picked up some ribbon to match. Wrapped fabric around candles and tied. A simple easy way to dress up some basic candles for just a few dollars and a few minutes of your time.

Cute idea with breaking dawn 2 coming out later this year.

Cheap or free embellishments

We all have some great items around the house that can be used to create a very unique look to your pages. Below are some of the items I have used include real crayons/pencils or kids or school pages, real birthday candels etc... A have one page I did for a Vegas trip where I used the hotel keys that had the hotel name photos of Carrot Top. On this page I also used a cheap $2 magnet I purchased (photo not inserted yet) at a cheap souvenir shops to frame the photo and a few cards from a cheap deck I purchased at the Dollar Store along with an extra chip I came home with. Another free embellishment that I use often is beer bottle caps. I flatten the ends by hammering them down or bending the edges with pliers so they can be easily glued on. See below where I used a Corona lid on my trip to Cabo San Lucas. We stayed at this great all inclusive hotel and the only option for beer was Corona…. so being that it was free, it was all we drank all weekend. So I wanted to include that memory on my page. I also used an extra peso I brought home. I also saved some money from my trips to Germany and Holland. Layouts coming soon....

Inexpensive Embellishments

One of the things I love to do is add items to my pages that are not typical scrapbooking embellishments. One of my favorites when I am doing themed pages for a girls night out, or shopping page is to add “girly” charms. One way to get some very inexpensive charms is to use Wine Glass Charms. Wine glass charms range in price but I usually find great deals for 6-8 chamrs that make each about $1. Since buying true scrapbook charms can range from $5 and up, Wine Glass Charms can really be a great option. Just tie them on with color coordinated ribbon and you have a great look or even put a few together. With so many wine glass charms, you should be able to find one to fit the theme of your page. Simple and inexpensive I think these may be my next set. I love girls night out pages and love to add animal print papers so these could be some great accents. ">
